VALERIE K SHARP is a visual/performance artist living in the Hudson Valley in NY, originally from Oklahoma City with a BFA in Acting '14 and BA in Studio Art '15 (minors in Costume Design and Directing) from Oklahoma City University. She creates flowing and colorful oil paintings reflecting her inner world, and performance art using a combination of durational actions, costume, and installation in order to transform personal experiences into universal symbols. Through her work, she plays with perception of time, delves into the psyche of fairytales, examines our relationship to nature as a mirror to ourselves, and wanders through the wonderful, mysterious forest that is the mind. Her work has been featured in New York, Oklahoma, and Los Angeles.
